FOODTECH PACKTECH 2008 - SUCCESS FOR SATO
This year Foodtech Packtech was a great success for SATO New Zealand with an overwhelmingly positive response to the launch of SATO’s new sustainable range of products.
Ecolabel – SATO’s flagship sustainability label has attracted huge amounts of attention in particular. Its unique composition allows customers to create a cradle to cradle recycling opportunity for both the label backing, effectively eliminating waste and bypassing the need to send reams and reams of label backing to landfills.
“We are very excited to be presenting this product to our customers “says Kerry Langley, Marketing Manager at SATO New Zealand. “Ecolabel really demonstrates our ability to change significantly our customers’ operations for the better. It’s the perfect marriage of kiwi ingenuity and our core values around sustainability. Most importantly, ecolabel is able to show a return on investment, with financial benefits to be realised by cost saving from the reduction of waste disposal and reduced carbon footprint implications.”
Linerless labels were also a highlight for those who attended SATO’s stand. Labels without liner (backing paper) not only reduce the consumption of trees that would otherwise be used for the liner, but also save energy by avoiding the transport and incineration of waste. Also, in comparison with conventional labels, the same sized roll of linerless labels contains about 40% more labels.
As always, the team had great fun at the show, and appreciated the opportunity to meet new customers and update current customers as to our new products. Thank you to all those who made the effort to visit our stand, you are by far the best part of the show for us!
